Hello dear family, I was of course saddened to hear that both Mr. and Mrs. Howell are no longer in this realm. I knew them both years ago as I was once engaged to marry Raphael N. His father, Mr. Howell was always very nice to me and we could talk about anything. You all have my sincerest condolences.

To the Howell Family. May the love of family and friends and the comfort that only God can give you provide the strength needed to continue on (Jeremiah 29:11). Please have someone contact me. Thank you

Ralph and I have been friends for over three decades; I am so saddened by his passing. He not only served his country, community, but served his family too to the best of his abilities. Ralph was not a perfect man but an honorable man in his obligations and responsibilities. Being raised in the South primarily, Ralph was characterized with a strong work ethic, a desire for excellence, and for providing for his family. I am very regretful and yet penitent of how our friendship commenced but yet thankful to the Lord for the caliber of the man I could remain friends with to the end of his earthly journey. What we truly want or need from others is never really attainable; for even when we feel we are at our best we are flawed, imperfect, and sinful beings. That is why it’s so beneficial to accept the totality of the man or woman’s goodness and in the end offer grace and forgiveness where there is lack. Only a Savior can fill that void we’re plagued with and are so desperately in need of being filled. I do recognize and acknowledge my friend, Ralph L. Howell; I do affirmed his life and legacy as appropriately and respectfully as I know how ___with honorability and gratitude. I pray that God’s comfort, compassion, forgiveness, healing, and restoration prevail and that Ralph’s life and death will be our touchstone. John 3:16vs.

I remember Ralph Howell as a man of quiet dignity and class. I was one of the lifeguards who worked with Ralph during his last two seasons at Perkins Woods Pool. In fact, I succeeded him as pool manager. My admiration and respect for him is centered in the way he treated other people. He was one of my most influential mentors. RIP Ralph!
