Ramone “Don Mone” Ross was born on September 29, 1985 in Cleveland, Ohio to Kenneth Leonard Ferguson and Hortense B Ross Bell. Ramone was an inquisitive, energetic, and enthusiastic child. He attended East Cleveland, Cleveland Heights, and Maple Heights school district where he excelled easily academically. Ramone loved and cherished his family. Family and togetherness are some of the most important elements in his life. Mone was always present for a family gathering and daily Facetime and phone calls with his mom and siblings were part of his daily rituals. He maintained close and unique bonds with parents and all his siblings throughout his life.
At the age of 12, Ramone was baptized by Pastor Gretta Carr. He had an ordained and gifted aura and voice carrying the words placed in his heart to enlighten and motivate everyone he encountered no matter who it was or where it was.
Handsome, shy but charming with a smile that could light up any room he stepped into, his personality was captivating and magnetic resulting in many friendships. An elite athlete and sportsman, Ramone was an achieved wrestler and won the state championship while attending Maple Hts. High.
In 2002 Ramone met Ashley, the two became high school sweethearts and became parents to Ramone Jr. and Jurnee. On May 9, 2011 the couple were married and to this union three more children were welcomed Xyaire, Amir, and Xyon. A very loving, supportive, and dedicated husband and father. Ramone took pride in being a family man, putting his family first always. He took great pride in being our anchor and the head of our unit. A devout father, he never missed a day of being with his children, daily school drops, and football practice/games were always part of his routine. There was no end he wouldn’t go to provide and protect us. A teacher, support system, our “cut man”, our friend he led our family with dedication and unconditional love.
The balance in many lives you can refer to Ramone as the voice of reason, giving new outlooks on life and motivating others no matter what he himself may have been experiencing at the time. Always striving for togetherness, he was the mediator and problem solver for family and friends. The true meaning and example of loyalty, love, togetherness, and empowerment of others, you never had to question how true or genuine he was.
An entrepreneur Ramone is the founder of R&R Spotless Cleaning, R&R Dispatching Services and one of the founders of SCK he was self-taught and self-built. Currently he was working with Cleveland Clinic (Lutheran) on the surgical unit where he had great experiences and met great people. Horticulture had a special place in Ramone’s heart as he possessed a “green thumb”. His ultimate goal was to buy land and grow his own fruits, vegetables etc. A Lover of many things including art, music, old school cars and of course his dogs who he put a lot of time, love and dedication into as well.
Ramone was called home on Nov 13, 2023. We will all love and miss him as our lives have forever changed. He leaves to carry on his legacy and memory his wife Ashley and children Ramone Jr, Jurnee, Xyaire, Amir, and Xyon. His Parents mother Hortense B Ross- Bell and father Kenneth L
