Ramona L. Johnson, age 74, died on December 18, 2022.
Ramona L. Johnson was born in Cynthiana Kentucky on Monday,
September 6, 1948, to the union of Anita Lackey-Pickens and Louis Willis.
Following her beginning educational journey, Ramona continued on the path and received her Associate Degree in Arts, and later gained employment with The Ohio Department of Transportation as computer programmer.
Ramona gave birth to three children: John T Flowers, Nicole M Johnson and Jay L Johnson. Becoming a mother was one of the greatest joys of her life and she always put her children first. Ramona was a great cook. Not only was she willing to share a meal with anyone who came to visit, she would also distribute her famous chocolate chip cookies to her neighbors.
Being a strong woman, Ramona was very active in the community, encouraging people, she was always willing to help others in any way that she could. She was very instrumental in helping children and adult women finding gainful employment as a positive manner in which to motivate them to do better for themselves and their families, and to always look for the good, even in bad situations. She tried her best to live her life as a true Witness of Jehovah.
Ramona truly devoted her life to Jehovah and on February 2, 2011, she symbolized it by water baptism. She tried to live her life as best she could by telling others about Jehovah and his Kingdom. On Sunday, December 18, 2022, sister Ramona Johnson fell asleep in death.
Having been preceded in death by her only daughter, Nicole M Johnson, sister’s: Bonnie Willis, Louis Nelson Willis aka “Aretha Willis and Cora Mae Pickens.
Ramona leaves behind to mourn, her two sons, John T. Flowers (Kimberly), and
Jay Johnson; her brothers and sisters, James Pickens, Margaret Reed (Oscar), Carl Pickens, Robin Horton (Lonell), Anita Sneed (Richard), and Novella Pickens; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts other relatives and friends.
