Anne Andrews PhD left a message on June 1, 2020:
Ray Dove was my Section Head in Separations and Identifications at Goodyear Tire & rubber Company Research building on Goodyear Blvd. I held him in high regard as do I Rita for her poetry and Ray T. for his loving care of his Dad in the last years. I appreciated the ABJ tribute to Ray Allen Dove and the story of his rise from an elevator operator to a M.S.chemist after the help of a friend to help Goodyear overcome prejudice against hiring a black chemist. The EEO law came later and helped me become the first woman PhD chemist Goodyear ever let work in the Research labs. These days it appears important to have government at all levels that respects all people. Hope you all vote after careful consideration of who is best to serve you. I am the lady that sent Ray a copy of the article the NYT did about 3 years ago about his famous daughter Rita. I loved to discuss gardening with Ray in addition to chemistry.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
