Rebecca Gray was born September 11, 1950 to Hattie Mae Bailey and Herlee Casalow in Birmingham, Alabama. Rebecca was one of three children two brothers Joseph Bailey and Raymond Bailey who proceeded her in death.
On February 4, 1969, Rebecca was united in holy matrimony to James T. Gray and was married for 55 years and to this union they had 5 children, Bernice (Elliott)Lilly, James (Trayce) Gray Jr., Angela (Guy)Peake, Laronne (Lynnette)Gray and Darrick (Jerica) Gray.
Rebecca excepted Christ and was baptized at New Bedford Baptist Church. She was educated in the Cleveland Public School system. She liked to grow flowers in her home and yard, watch tv and enjoy her family at birthdays and holidays. Thanksgiving and Christmas was her favorite holiday because her family would all get together and enjoy one another. She loved and cherished her children and grandchildren.
Rebecca had 6 uncles that proceeded her in death, Jimmy Lee, Bro, Charles, Lewis, Collie and Bernard. She has 11 grandchildren Desmond, Darnell, Tiffany (Roni), Deangelo, Deonte, Deandre, James III, Tyranie, Chaz, Martiona, and Angellise. She has 24 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Also left to cherish Rebecca memories are 2 sister-in-laws Maebell Wilder and Annie (Darnell) Hill: seven brothers-in-law Jeff (Hattie), Melvin, Joseph, Bennie (Annie), George (Mamie), Henry (Candi), Jimmy (Debra).
