Rebecca Finsley Lillie “Sug”, 78, of 1600 Brittain Road, Departed this life December 22nd at Cleveland Clinic General Hospital after an extended battle with congestive heart failure and cardiopulmonary heart disease.

Rebecca was born in Akron OH, the first child of the union of Benjamin Finsley Sr. and Altha Finsley.  She attended the Akron Public Schools and graduated from North high school. After graduation she attended a nursing academy at Akron Saint Thomas Hospital where she later became a nurse. She also worked at Fallsview Hospital and later retired from Manor Care, Assisted Living in Barberton OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, half-sister Lucille Johnson of Memphis TN, and her brothers Benjamin Finsley Jr. and Robert Finsley both of Akron OH.

During the prime of her life she married her high school sweetheart Michael Lillie Sr. and from that union three children were born; Laverne Renee Martin (husband Shawn) of Akron OH, Michael Lillie II (wife Elisabeth) also of Akron OH, and Imra’ah Muhammad of KY. They will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

She is also survived by her two dear sisters; Rachel Carter of East Cleveland OH and Najmah Finsley Abdulhaqq of Akron OH, 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
