Renellda Ann Robinson passed away in the comfort of her beloved children on August 15, 2023 at MetroHealth Glick Center. Renellda, the middle child of 13 siblings, was born on November 28, 1961 in Cleveland, Ohio.
The daughter of Adam Mitchell and Ardella M. Smith, Renellda was introduced to Christ at an early age. She was baptized at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church where she first discovered her vocals and joined (The Celestials) church choir.
Renellda attended Cleveland Public Schools and East High School. Renellda pursued a career as a dietary technician working for Broadview Nursing Home and Cuyahoga County Nursing Home. She also worked for Minuteman where she developed multiple skills working in various factories as a general laborer for over 20 years until her health declined.
Renellda gave birth to her three kids, Denise, Richard, and Shannon, whom she mothered until her final days. If you met Renellda then you would have made a lifelong friend who was outspoken and would go to bat to protect the ones she loved. She definitely held the title as ”OG” to her son, Richard, and anyone who encountered her knew she was a force to be reckoned with.
Renellda was self-made and didn’t play about her money or her kids. She was considered a natural hustler and would do almost anything to make a better way for them.
If you knew Renellda then you knew she could light up a room with just her smile alone. She was the teacher who didn’t mind sharing her knowledge and you knew that if she spoke on it, then you could take it to the bank, because “she said what she meant and meant what she said” was one of the many sayings that she stood on.
Renellda loved music and dancing, and her voice gave you goosebumps when she sang. Renellda had good taste when it came to style, sewing, and decorating, and needless to say, her ability to throw down in the kitchen.
Those who touch our lives, stay in our hearts forever. Renellda is survived by her three children: Denise (Niecy), Richard, and Shannon; four granddaughters: Laneice (Punkin), Diamond, Richirah (Chirah), and Rimoniy; two grandsons: Richard Jr. (Lil Rich), and Javion (Moonbear); two great-grandchildren: Jayden and Ja’maya.
Renellda will be missed dearly by a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and close friends: Karen, Doris, and Joyce with whom she shared special memories.
The family of Renellda Ann Robinson would like to thank each and everyone that showered them with condolences. You’re appreciated and may blessing be bestowed upon you.
