Rhonda Jean Green (Goodwin) was born October 21, 1966 in Akron Ohio to mother Helen Goodwin and father Ronald Payne. Rhonda attended and graduated from Buchtel High School in 1986. She worked at Akron General Hospital for over 20 years as a nursing assistant on the oncology unit. She attended the Mt. Olive Baptist Church here in Akron. Rhonda was a devoted wife to Walter Green Jr. for over 35 years, She has three sons and six grandchildren or (BeBes) as she would call them.
Rhonda enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to music, going to the casinos, and playing any type of game you could think of with some of her favorites being 10,000, Shooting darts with Chic and Chung, and playing pity pat with the family. She was a huge sports fan especially her Cleveland Browns and her Ohio State Buckeyes. On any given Saturday and Sunday during football season she would be fully dressed in her team gear as if she was going to the game. She loved the outdoors, if the weather was nice you could almost guarantee you drive down the P and See her on the porch, listening to her music with her cup of yellowtail merlot.
Rhonda had a heart of gold and was the glue that molded this family together. She could create a safe haven for anyone within her presence. Her loving and infectious attitude made any and everyone who encountered her instantly love her. Rhonda was the calm in every storm, the hype of every party, console any hurt, and nurture any sickness She truly was 1 of 1.
Preceded in death by: Ronald Payne (Father), Lucille Goodwin (Grandmother), Nancy Twitty (Mother in Law), Candace Davis (Niece), and her Beloved dog Diamond a.k.a. Crime Mob.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Her loving husband Walter Green Jr.; Children Donta, Markeith Sr (Monique), Dustin Goodwin; Grandchildren Nataya, Taykia, Danaya, Damontay, Marley, Markeith Jr Goodwin; Mother Helen Goodwin; Siblings Dawanda Goodwin, Tonya Thomas, Michael (Shava) Goodwin, Lillian Goodwin, Sister in Law Valerie Mckinnie; Uncle Alexander (Paulette) Goodwin; Aunts Agnes Brown-Mcmenas, Lorraine Goodwin, Linda Morris, Harriet Lucy; Special niece Shakeila Goodwin; Special nephew Levail Mckinnie II; a host of nieces and nephews and cousins; Special friends Sheila Richardson, Alisa Terrell Bonus Brother in Law Raynard Dotson as well as an abundance of friends, and colleagues.
