Ricardo Yuuki Davis was born on October 6, 1996, in Iwakuni, Japan. He is the son of Roosevelt Davis, Jr., and Yukiko Davis. He attended Riverside Elementary School from 2005 to 2011, New Tech West from 2011 to 2013, the Cleveland School of Architecture and Design at John Hay from 2013 to 2015, and the Cleveland Institute of Art from 2015 to 2019, earning a Bachelors in Art in Sculpture and Media. Though raised primarily in the Cleveland area, his interests were evocative of a person with broad experiences. Throughout his life, he garnered a wide breadth of interests and hobbies primarily in the creative arts. These interests included, but not limited to, drawing, painting in oil, film (particularly the horror genre), animation, anime, puppetry, and claymation. His other interests included Japanese language and culture, animals, and American pop culture from throughout the 20th century. Ricardo had a knack for combining several of these interests and creating drawings, videos, and sculptures that struck a chord with friends, family, and others. Ricardo loved taking care of children. Whether through babysitting for family friends or as short-term worker at a non-profit, he had a knack for caring for and entertaining children. He left an impression on all those around him. In particular, he was so kind that he was able to make connections with many of his mother’s friends and acquaintances. In parallel with his creativity and kindness, he was suffering greatly. For years, he faced depression and questioned his identity of neurodivergence. He suffered, most of all, from self-doubt, not realizing that he was, and still is, held in high regard by so many. This made him a quiet, withdrawn, and humble individual who was seldom the center of attention but had a much more subtle impression on his friends and those around him . His soul and memories live on through his parents and his siblings: Sonia, Takumi (Jordan), Sean, Charrice, and Quinton.
