Robert D. Boyer, Sr. was born on February 6, 1935, to the late Thomas and Josephine Boyer in Akron, Ohio. On May 7, 2020, Robert was called home to be with his loving wife Geneva.
He retired with over thirty years of service from Chrysler Automotive. Robert enjoyed playing tennis, listening to gospel music, and the Cleveland Browns.
Robert met and married the love of his life Geneva McCorkle. They were married for 57 years and were blessed with five children.
He was preceded in death by his son Robert Boyer Jr., and three brothers, Thomas, Tyrone, and Toot.
He leaves to cherish his memory sons, Rodney Boyer and David Boyer, daughters, Sandy Williams, Jackie Jacob, Pam Boyer and his devoted caregiver Yvonne Boyer; grandchildren Fatzy, No-No, Kente, Kisha, Gordon, Adarius, Jessica, Geneva, Tyler, Martin, LaKayla and Jamal. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren; brother Bernard (Jenn) Boyer; special daughter-in-law, Mary Bush and lifelong friend, Fred Clark and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
