Robert “Earl” Fitzpatrick 56, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 19, 2023.
At an early age, Earl professed his faith in Jesus Christ.
Earl was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 24, 1966 to Robert Calloway (deceased) and Brenda Fitzpatrick. He was one of three children. Earl was united in Holy Matrimony to Lila for 23 years and has four children, two of which were born to his union to Lila. Earl graduated from Chanel High School in Bedford, Ohio. He was selected as an All-American football player as a cornerback and punt returner. He attended Potomac State in Potomac, West Virginia where he received a scholarship to play football.
Earl was an employee with the City of Cleveland, Division of Recreation as a Regional Manager for 38 years. He coached the Muny Football League for several years. He also coached the Shaker Basketball 5th and 6th grade Travel League where they won several championships. One of his greatest accomplishments was when he coached and traveled across the country with his AAU Basketball teams for three years which included winning various tournaments. Earl was a Certified Basketball Coach. He completed and received certification for the FEMA Emergency Management Institute. He also completed the Cleveland State Leadership Academy.
Earl enjoyed sports, playing cards, grilling, listening to music and family gatherings. He was a loyal Cleveland Browns fan.
Earl is survived by his wife, Lila. Children; Robert, Raven, Christian, and Caitlyn. Three grandchildren; Kayden, Camilla, and Cari. Mother Brenda Fitzpatrick. Siblings; Pamela and Elvern “Mooney”. Father-in-law; David Abrams; Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and a host of Friends.
