It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Thomas, born to Vernon and Mary Katherine Thomas on January 25, 1949, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the sixth child out of eight, growing up in a close-knit family.
Brought up in the Catholic faith, Robert attended a Catholic school, where he cultivated a strong foundation of values that would guide him throughout his life. His upbringing instilled in him a deep sense of compassion, kindness, and a commitment to family.
Robert’s professional journey led him to Cleveland Job Corps which led him to a profession in cooking. He also worked in professions such as Trucking, and for Akron’s’ water department as an employee.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Robert found solace and joy in simple pleasures, such as spending time with friends or family. Known to his friends and family as Zuke you would always know he was around because he was the loudest person in the room. When Roberts’ children were younger he loved taking them to the park. But, the one thing Robert loved more than anything were his Cleveland Browns.
Robert is survived by sisters Shirley (Henry), Joyce (Edward), brother Gregory (Beverly), his three sons, Allen, Daniel, and Charlie, along with 24 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
May Robert Thomas rest in eternal peace.
With deepest sympathy,
Thomas Family
