Roberta Robinson McPherson was born on December 6, 1930, in Oneonta, Alabama to the late Elbert Roy and Nellie Aniton Robinson. She was the youngest of eight siblings.
Roberta attended school and graduated from Fairfiled High School in Alabama. Roberta accepted Christ at an early age. Attending Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she played the piano. Roberta was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late George Herbert McPherson and they relocated to Cleveland, Ohio where George Jr. was born. She later met William Pearson and Yalita was born. Roberta worked for many years in the dietary department of Mt. Sinai Hospital.
Roberta furthered her career at Reese Chemicals as a Pharmaceutical Technician until her retirement.
In Roberta’s spare time she loved going on her daily walks and spending time with her family.
Roberta was preceded in death by her siblings, Billy-Gene Robinson, Mattie Bell White, Addie Mae Hicks, Frank Robinson, Agnes Stockdale Hodge, Roy Robinson, Jr., Marguerite Polk (Baby Sis, and Jerlene Dawson.
Roberta leaves to cherish her memory her son, George McPherson, Jr. (Mary); daughter, Yalita Pearson-Benford (Mark Ex-Son-In-Law), three grandchildren, Gerome Langford, William (A.K.A. Rusty) and Qiyan (Ivan), eleven great-grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren. Roberta also leaves to cherish her precious memories a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, friends and dear friend Lily Butler.
