Robin Lynn Upchurch, age 69, passed away on May 1, 2023.

Robin Lynn Upchurch (nee Plater) was born to the union of Lynn and Robert Plater in Cleveland, Ohio on September 3rd, 1953. Robin attended East Cleveland public schools and graduated in 1971 from Shaw High School. Upon completing high school, Robin attended Sawyer College of Business and soon after worked for the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center and East Cleveland City Hall. She was later employed as a lunch aide at Gearity Professional Development Elementary School for over twenty years before retiring in 2016.

Throughout her life, Robin always found a way to let her kind nature shine through. There was perhaps nothing she enjoyed more than nurturing and uplifting others, even during her toughest of circumstances. Some of the pastimes that Robin loved most were gardening, barbecuing, interior decorating, going on day trips, and listening to jazz music. Robin also had a soft spot in her heart for all animals and adored her three spoiled cats most of all.

Robin departed this earth on May 1st, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lynn Plater. Robin leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Geordan Burress, husband Kevin Upchurch, and brother Robert Buckner (Diane). Robin also leaves numerous extended family members and friends as well as her beloved pet cats Reesecup, Mandarin, and Tangerine.
