Roland James Flowers Sr. was born on September 26, 1948. He was a devoted, and beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Having been baptized at an early age, Roland lived a life of faith, kindness, and quiet wisdom.
He graduated from Max S. Hayes Vocational High School in 1968 and dedicated more than 30 years to General Motors as a machine repairman. In later years, he continued serving his community as a home health aide and school crossing guard.
Roland was known for his strong work ethic, his love of running, and his ability to bring people together. He often reminded loved ones with his favorite saying: “nothing but the rent.”
Roland James Flowers Sr. entered eternal rest on December 7, 2025. He now rejoins his cherished wife, Evelyn Flowers, in glory. His legacy lives on through his family and all who were blessed to know him.

Roland’s life was a testament to love, perseverance, and faith. He now rests in eternal peace, reunited with loved ones in the presence of the Lord.
