Roland Wayne White was born on May 25, 1938 in Perryville, Tennessee; the second of two children born to the late Thelma White Davenport.
He was a member of St. Mark A.M.E. Church.
Roland was educated in the Decatur County School System.
In 1958, Roland enlisted in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1962.
He met, and later united in Holy Matrimony with, the love of his life, Jo Evelyn, on December 14, 1968 after they relocated to Cleveland, Ohio.
Roland was employed in the Security Industry for many years and retired from Master Builders, Inc.
He loved reading (especially motivational topics), auto repair, and working on cars.
Roland departed this life peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 18, 2023. He is preceded in death by his spouse, Jo Evelyn White; Mother Thelma White Davenport; sisters Alma Sue White, Willie Jean Plecher, Zenobia Pettigrew; brother W. L. Davenport; five nieces, one nephew, and a host of other loving relatives.
He leaves to Cherish his Memory: stepdaughters Regina Strickland of Euclid, OH, Margaret Bobo of Cleveland, OH; Grand-children David Scott (Dawn) of Cleveland, OH, Lorna Jackson (Dwayne) of Maple Heights, OH, Harry Bobo of Cleveland, OH, Tonya Barnwell of Willoughby Hills, OH, Helen Franklin (Terrelli) of Cleveland, OH; Brother-in-law Carl McClain (Mary) of Macedonia, OH; 15 Great-grandchildren and one Great Great-Grandson.
