Ronald James Fort (Ronnie) was born June 5, 1945, in Brimington, Washington. He passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, after fighting a good fight, surrounded by his loving family.
Ronald will forever be remembered for his joyful spirit and larger-than-life personality. A true lover of music, cars, exotic fish tanks, and Big Dogs, he embraced life with a fun-loving and adventurous heart. Known for his charismatic and flirty nature, Ronald could light up any room he walked into and always found a way to make those around him smile.
He worked diligently as a rubber worker at Firestone, where he dedicated many years of hard work and loyalty. Beyond his career, Ronald’s heart was always with his family, friends, and community. He was well-known far and wide for his goodness, kindness, and fun-loving spirit.
Ronald was a proud father to his children: Dwayne (Angie) Fort, Dwight (Brenda) Fort, Ronnia Fort, and SheRonn Fort. He also embraced and loved his bonus children: Alicia McKinstry, Renee Fort, Oscar Prude, Kevin Claridy, Lamonte Riley, and Shekima Fort.
He cherished his grandchildren: Ronniece Riley, his muffin, Ja’Mice Fort, Jay-Von Fort, and Brent Walker.
He was a devoted great-grandfather to Kardeair Beecher, his Boo Boo, Kartel Fort, A’Kween Fort, Kanin Fort, De’Aira Fort, and Tandon Lucas Fort.
He was preceded in death by his father, Moses Fort, and his mother, Lillie Ruth Weems-Fort.
He is survived by his sister, Terry Fort, who affectionately called him “Bobo”; his special niece, Charice Fort, and nephew, Jeff Fort, whom he called Pete; and his dear friends Donald and Faye Leathers, Garnett Leathers, and Reggie Westley.
Ronald’s legacy is carried on by a host of other bonus grandkids, friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones who will continue to celebrate his life. He always loved to have a good time, share laughter, and create memories that will live forever.
