Rose Marie (White) Thomas was born on January 17, 1943 in Montgomery, Alabama. She was the daughter of Carrie Bell Thomas, and the eldest of six siblings, Fred Jr. “Freddie” (deceased), Bernard (deceased), Gloria (deceased) and Donald (deceased).

At a young age, Rose Marie moved to Cleveland, OH. She received her education from East Tech High School and Jane Addison Nursing School.

Rose Marie enjoyed sewing. She enjoyed it so much that she even designed and sewed her own wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses. She also loved music, dancing and spending time with her family.

She was loving, sassy and always kept a positive attitude. Her warm presence would light up any room, and was a joy to be around.

Rose Marie was the mother of three children, Leisha Marie, Charles “Chucky” Norman (Sharrona), and Marcus Anthony; and the beloved wife of William Thomas, for 47 years.

Along with her husband and children she also leaves behind her brother, Andrew “Andy”; six grandchildren, Cori, Chelsea (Matthew), Hannah, Marcus Jr., Shamir and Chancelor; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones who cherish and celebrate her life.

It is with a heavy heart that I express my sentimental thoughts and feelings of the passing of Mrs. Rose Marie Thomas. She is my daughters maternal grandmother and the dear mother of my former wife and companion, Leisha Marie. I've known Mrs. Thomas from the days of my early childhood ... a very long time. Her love and passion for her family was immeasurable. Her good-natured humor and laughter is what I will always keep and reflect upon when I think of her. She would take upon herself to smile and converse with any and all that experienced her direct presence. Yet, at the same time, she was a genuine person. It was never a problem for my MiL to share her thoughts and feelings; especially with those whom she loved. Most of all, I will always hold to my heart the love and adoration she poured into my children .. her oldest granddaughters! With that I say, I thank God for you!!
