Rosemary Moody was born on December 24, 1947, out of Oakdale, Louisiana to Rosa Mae Remo and Saliman Moody. She used to love dancing, singing, playing cards with her friends, and working. She loved to hustle. She was number 7 out of fourteen children and raised by her grandmother whom she loved so much. She went to Oakdale Junior High School up to the age of fourteen until she met the love of her life Nathaniel Spencer her first union which lasted 27 years (who proceeded her in death). The love sparked and they had her first child Freginald Spencer (who proceeds her in death); got married then had their second born son, Zeginald Spencer. Nathaniel Spencer was in the Army at the time, so they then returned to his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. They proceeded to have two more children, the first girl, Natelyn Spencer and baby Charlotte Page married to Michael Page Jr.
She continued her education and got her GED and her first job at 17 working at General Electric. She loved to work there and take her kids to pool parties and have a fun time. She bought her first home on North Lockwood where she raised all four of her kids until they graduated. She got her second job driving buses for the RTA. She loved to drive the bus and help the people on the bus. She even drove her grandkids on the bus every day, stopping for snacks and ice cream. She fed the homeless, helping children in need and being an angel to her community.
She then met her second husband Michael Page, and the love sparked; she still loves him to this day. She also loved to go to church, she loved God; she went to Great Mt. Zion. She was a Christian woman riding around in her blinged out cars blasting her gospel music bumping her shoulders with her thumbs and pinkies up. She made sure she taught everyone how to love the lord as well. She was one of the best cooks, from greens and cornbread to Louisiana gumbo, she made the best even those apples glazed cakes. She loved to go fishing. She taught all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren how to fish. She would fish in all kinds of places, anywhere she could throw her line she was there. She was only 4ft 9, but her attitude was 9ft tall, we used to call her “big homie”. She was sweet and spicy; she will tell you about yourself then pray for you all in one breath because she was a fast talker, and she loved to talk. She enjoyed shopping, thrifting, traveling, going to the casino and being outside, though she did not like that a lot of noise, but we never listened. She always had fun and enjoyed getting together with the whole family and sharing memories.
She had also loved acting in her grandchildren music videos, going viral with her granddaughter, Nadesha aka “Legginz” and got her nick name “Granny Legz.” She acted in her grandson, Tyshawn aka “2koo” music videos, she was all over the internet, a true movie star. She was a wonderful woman, mother, friend, and an all-around good person.
She fought many battles, heart surgeries, different illnesses, and she still came out strong and fought every day to be there for her family, kids, and her grandchildren. She took on every battle like there was no limit, she was a soldier and fought through a lot of pain and still smiled. She fought her last battle on August 16, 2024, and it shook the family up. The family is saddened to have lost our guardian angel but still feel a small joy knowing she is happy with God and her family in heaven, and she does not have any more pain. She goes on to leave her 3 children; Zeginald Spencer, Natelyn Spencer, and Charlottle Page, her husband; Michael Page Jr., her 15 grandchildren; Freginald Jr., Erimius, Marquelle, Nehemiah, Nathanial, Nasier, Demshia, Terry (who proceeds in her death), Tyshawn, Charneshia, Jason, Jorome, Jasmine, Nadesha, and Demar, and her 17 great-grandchildren; Tamara, Tamia, Kia, Aziyah, Aaiona, Serenity, MJ, Summer, Milan, Nehemiah, Tyshawn Jr., Tycyn, Derionte, Shaniya, Kenneth Jr., Zamiyah, and Zamir and a host of siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones.
We will all miss her dearly and blessed to have spent this time with her, she will live on in our memories and hearts forever.
