Roselyn Harrison was born November 24, 1930, in Edison, GA to the proud parents of William and Eddie Mae Shedrick. She was the first of eight children and attended school in Edison, GA. Roselyn was raised with a strong religious background and lived her life and raised her own family in the same way. Roselyn celebrated 71 years of marriage to Leroy Harrison on February 21, 2019. She was a very loving, caring and giving woman that many benefited from.
She retired from Western Reserve Hospital working in the Dietary Dept. and managed the commissary store at the hospital. She also retired from YMCA as a cook for the Daycare Center making sure the children had good meals and snacks. She also worked at Roush’s Market.
Cooking was a passion making sure everyone had enough to eat, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed going on boat and bus trips and attending her Elks meetings. She was preceded in death by her daughter Jolene Harrison, son Buard (Pree) Harrison, grandson Damon Harrison, brother Eddie James Shedrick and sister Elmyra Clark. Roselyn is survived by her husband Leroy Harrison Sr., daughter Beverly Harrison, sons Leroy (Angelia*) Harrison, Jr., Charles Harrison, Mark Gibbs, Edwin Breedlove; sisters Betty Blackmon, Eveanna (Leroy*) Weaver, Ruby (Thomas*) Shingles; Brothers William (Geneva*) Shedrick and Charles (Mary) Shedrick; Grandchildren Detra Harrison, Dante’ Harrison, De Aire Robinson, Amira Carswell, Dominique Gladney, Deytriahna Gladney, Tarrena Grant, Shonvettia Murphy and Winfred Mosley; Great grandchildren DeOntae Murray, DonJae’ Harrison, Donae’ Harrison, Amir, Ameena Carswell, Aspen Murphy and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
