A new child of God was born on April 3, 1952, in Bolivar County, Mississippi, to the union between Johnny Rush and Rose Harris. Rosie Ann, affectionately known as Bobbi, was the little-known blessing that had arrived for mankind to the world.
Somewhere along the way, Rosie had accepted Christ as her personal Savior, accumulating her membership at Second Calvary C.O.G.I.C. in later years.
After relocation to Cleveland, Ohio, and subsequent graduation from high school, she embarked on a prosperous career in entrepreneurship. This was followed by stints with Cuyahoga County Services, B.P. Company, and The County Board of Elections. At the same time, Rosie avoided scandals while becoming successful and warming the hearts of her coworkers, displaying remarkable skills.
The love in Rosie’s heart attracted many to want to share their own. After two previous marriages, she hit her stride with her soulmate, Glenn Darryl Grier, a union lasting 28 years – until her passing.
Blessed with a multitude of talents, Rosie enjoyed songwriting, publishing, singing, and crocheting. In her free time, she watched television, gambled, and engaged in conversation. Her country cooking was unsurpassed; she could make a delicious, wholesome meal in a short amount of time!
Rosie’s existence transformed many in her lifetime, from her siblings to strangers. The world has truly lost another saint to Heaven on Thursday, February 16, 2023. However, her memory shall live on eternally by those whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Johnny Jr., Lucille, and Bessie.
Left to cherish her memory and carry her legacy of love, her devoted husband, Glenn Darryl Grier; sister, Martha; as well as a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws, and friends – too numerous to name, though she loved you all.
