Ms. Roxanne Gates, age 72, passed away on July 23, 2024.

Roxanne “Rox” was born in Cleveland, OH, to Frank Gates and Ann (Draper) Gates. She is preceded in death by Ann Gates (Mother), Frank Gates (Father), Stephanie Gates (Daughter), Joyce Smith (Sister).

Roxanne is survived by son Franklin Gates; daughter Staci Gates; daughter Shanna Gates (Michael); Temple English (Bonus daughter). brother William Gibson Sr. (Barbara); Grand children, Tyshawn, Brandyn, Nickolas, Mychael, Nikya, Brianna & Fredrika (Bonus granddaughter) niece’s; Candace (Kiara, Katia) Tuesday (Cherronn) & Mardean (Curtis) (Marcus, Cerena), nephews; Cleophas”Skip” (Monique), William Jr.”Billy” & Ronald and a host of other great niece’s, nephews, family & friends.

Roxanne attended Catholic school and later finished at Glenville High School home of the Tarblooders. She then started her career at Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland where she remained for 32 years, until retiring in 2009.

Roxanne is known for her expensive taste (she loved shopping), her loving and caring personality, and being outspoken, she had a way with words.

I have nothing but the fondest memories of Roxann. She was kind and encouraging when she was my supervisor. She always listened and advised with patience. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time and for all time to follow. (My intention was to be there today, but I had to work.) Love to you all and May God hold you even closer....

Auntie I am miss you dearly. I will always cherish being called little Roxanne. I remember coming on Colonnade playing pac man with my cousins all night and 1st thing in the morning ifI stayed (u know I did) while listening to you and my dad talk about old times waiting for cuzo Frank to say come on yall let's go outside and to King Cole pizza we went playing down the hill.
