Ruby Naomi Lamb (“Tuta”) was born April 11, 1937 in Akron, Ohio to parents, George and Ruby Morgan Ford. She attended South High School, and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She was a wife, mother and homemaker.
On June 17, 1954, she married the love of her life, John Lamb and to this union six children were born, Denise, Alice, John Eric, Sheryl, Carla and Michael.
She was affectionately known as “Tuta” because her brother couldn’t pronounce the word “sister”. Ruby worked with numerous organizations such as Model Cities, Youth Opportunities Unlimited and Urban Renewal. She was an avid seamstress making outfits, gowns and dance tutus for her children, family and friends. “Tuta” loved to entertain; was an awesome cook and loved to bake.
