To the family of Rev Burden whom I fondly called “Dad” my prayers are with you during this time. I have so many memories of him especially when he was Associate Pastor at Mt. Olive Baptist Church and over the basketball team and cheerleaders. He often teased me that he still had the movies of the games and our cheering. He was the one I chose to marry me. Through the years he would visit Mt. Olive and teach a class and we would visit his church in Medina. I will always cherish his spiritual guidance and love that he gave. Rest well Dad. Thank you Karen for always keeping me posted on him and Mom Burden.

We offer our sincerest and heartfelt condolences to the Burden Family at the loss of your father and as one of our former Pastors at the House of Glory Baptist Church who help to build the path to what is now known as St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Reverend Burton brought in a spirit of love, devotion, commitment, and a spirit-filled service that filled the house from front to back. He will never be forgotten for he has done so much for so many who were lost. Thank you all for sharing him with us. We will continue to keep you lifted in prayer.
