My Grandma’s Hands
I look at my hands now
Long and thin with nails so strong,
They are not my hands
But Grandma’s Hands,
Grandma’s hands would clap and cheer
They would wipe away tears,
They would bake
All the cookies and cakes,
They would clean the floor
And take care of every chore,
Grandma’s hands made everything well,
Grandma’s hands may be gone for now
The love she showed
The family she built
We all wait patiently to hold
Grandma’s hands again.
