Sallie R. Jordan passed away on March 11, 2020, after a short illness.  She was born in Newbern, Alabama to the late Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler Herrin, on April 22, 1942, and came to Akron in 1960. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. She was united in marriage to Mr. Eddie Jordan in 1959. To this union was born four children.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Eddie Jordan; parents; sisters, Mary Lykes, Idella Mason, and Hannah Moss; brother, Willie Herrin.

She leaves to cherish her memory brother, Wheeler (Bernice) Herrin; sister, Brenda Herrin; daughters, Gertrude Jordan, and Patricia Jordan Walker (Ted); sons, Eddie Jordan and Derrick Jordan; grandkids, Darnell Jordan, Lee Shawn Gray, Damer Weaver, Cherelle Weaver, Brandon Jordan, Devin Jordan, and Derrah Jordan; great-grandchildren, Domique Davidson, Mayan Weaver, Ahniya Weaver, and Dakota Jordan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

All who are in sorrow and grief, open your hearts to the comfort of hope, and to the solace of our faith which assures us that through the dust returns to the earth, the spirit returns to God who gives it. Death is not the end, but a beginning; our dear one has passed through the gate of the grave into the endless peace of the life which endureth forever.
