Sammie Ingram (Sli) went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 24, 2019, at the age of 69 years old.
Sammie was born on July 3, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Lizzie and Alex Ingram. He moved to Akron, Ohio at an early age, attending Akron public schools.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Associates Lodge #1. He was employed at Summit County Physical Plants from June 12, 1989, and he retired on February 1, 2008. He also worked for ABM Summit County parking deck for 8 years and various other jobs. He was well known here in Akron, everyone loved him. He put smiles on your face and in your heart. “He loved the Lord”.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lizzie (Bundridge) Ingram and Alex Ingram, sister; Vivian Ingram.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Kate Ingram, daughters; Shevelle (Joseph) Martin, Casheka Slaughter, Natalie and Nicole Skidmore, sons; Sammie JR., Cameron Dockery, Dalvin Dickerson, and special son, Lloyd Flinn; special grandson, David Jones Jr. and special nephew, Eric Murray Jr., and host of grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
