He was the devoted soulmate of the late Mary Johnson and a loving father to Sam Jr., (Carmella), David, Bertha (Craig), and Andre (Gwen); and stepdaughters Katherine, Shirley, Karolyn Johnson He was preceded in death by both his parents, and his brother, (Joseph Thomas Price Jr.)
Sam was a hardworking and dedicated man. He retired as a machine die-setter, where he was known for his attention to detail and precision in machine setting. Sam enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, fancy cars, and had an intense passion for collecting firearms, which he proudly passed on to his sons. He left a lasting mark on those who knew him, one that will never fade.
His nickname was “Romeo.” He and his soulmate Mary Johnson were inseparable and devoted to each other until her untimely passing. Most of his children’s mothers were also named Mary. He Loved Him Some Mary’s!!
He is survived by his children, stepchildren, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, who departed this life peacefully and entered eternal rest.
He was a man of strength, wisdom, and kindness—always putting his family first and guiding us with patience and love. His presence brought warmth to every room, and his laughter and stories will forever echo in our hearts.
Though his earthly journey has ended, his legacy of compassion, integrity, and devotion lives on through the family and friends who cherished him.
We take comfort in knowing he is now at peace, embraced by the eternal light, and watching over us as an angel.
