A beloved mother, daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024, at the age of 65. 

Affectionately known as “San” or “Sandy,” Sandra was a kind and compassionate soul whose generosity and warmth touched everyone she met. She was known for showering her loved ones with thoughtful gifts and unwavering support for every occasion.

 

Born on June 24th, 1959, in Greensboro, Alabama, Sandra moved to Cleveland, Ohio early in life. She graduated from Collinwood High School and built a dedicated career at the Cleveland Water Department, where her humor and wit left a lasting impression. Sandra had a passion for bargain shopping, always eager to share her treasures with family and friends. A cornerstone of her family, she cherished traditions like dyeing Easter eggs for the children and making fresh lemonade along with macaroni & cheese for family gatherings.

As a devoted mother, Sandra championed her children’s dreams, offering love and encouragement at every step for Ramon (Channel) and Terika. She was a loving daughter to Ruby Burns, a cherished sister to Dorothy, Cynthia, Pamela (Oreste), Arthur, Eric, Lamar, and Jasper (TyRonda); a doting grandmother to Jahlil and Giovanni; a devoted partner to Kenneth; dearest niece to Adell (Mary), Clara Dee, & Mary S.; and much loved by many additional family members & friends. Sandra was preceded in death by her father, Arthur E. Burns.

Her strength, resilience, and boundless love remain an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished by her family and friends.
