Saundra L. Foster
May 8, 1942 – June 3, 2025
Saundra Lois Foster, beloved friend, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted servant of the Lord, went home to be with her Savior on June 3, 2025, at the age of 83.
Saundra was born on May 8, 1942, to Nolen and Edna Fitzpatrick; she was the eldest of three. She graduated from Buchtel High School and went on to attend the University of Akron, earning a degree in clerical studies. Saundra retired from BF Goodrich and the Adventure Place. Saundra faithfully served on several boards throughout the city, including the Metro RTA Board of Trustees, the Ohio Golf Association Board of Directors, and the Board of Trustees of the Summit County Child Services, and was an active member of her Church, Arlington Church of God, where she served as an usher.
Saundra’s life was a living testimony of faith and prayer. She was a true prayer warrior—steadfast, faithful, and full of love for her family and her Lord. She found great joy in the presence of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always pouring into them the same grace and strength that defined her life.
She was the cherished mother of Tracey Mobley, Tammy Barkley (Aaron), and Ajan Hilliard (Dawn); and a proud grandmother, “Mimi” to her grandchildren: Lambert McElrath II (Kayla), Lawrence McElrath (Megan), Taylor Barkley, and Aaron Barkley II. She was the proud great-grandmother of Aja, Natalie, Ezekiel, Kayia, Noa, and Crew. She was previously married to James Mobley and later to Leonard Foster, gaining Lynette (Rick) and Leslie as children, and Keira, Kerry II, and William as grandchildren. Saundra also embraced her extended family with open arms, offering them the same unwavering love she gave her children and grandchildren.
She now rejoices in the presence of her Savior and is reunited with her beloved parents, Nolen and Edna, her brother Errol, her sister Brenda, and many beloved family members who have gone before her.
Saundra’s legacy of faith, love, and perseverance will live on in all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Any condolences may be sent to her daughter, Tracey Mobley, at 406 Hardman Drive, Stow, OH, 44224
