Ms. Saundra Lorainne Wilson was born on April 7, 1947 in Topeka, Kansas to William Sr. and Alma Jean Galloway. She had three siblings: Willow, Shirley (deceased), and William Jr.
On December 21, 1962, Saundra married Jerome Doby (deceased); to this union were born three children: Jerry, Terri, and Lori. On June 9, 1977, she married George Nance (deceased); to this union were born two children, Brian (deceased) and Leah.
For many years she worked in customer service for multiple utility companies. Later in life she worked as a home health aide, providing compassionate care for several patients in the Cleveland area. She also taught piano and mentored many aspiring musicians, which brought her great happiness.
Saundra gave her life to the Lord and was saved on October 4, 1985. She loved and served him with all her heart until her death. She was a faithful member of the Church of God in Cleveland, Ohio, and used her God-given musical gift to serve as a pianist in the congregation for over forty years. She also served as the financial secretary for the congregation. Serving God and others was her passion and joy.
Beside her love of music, Saundra enjoyed traveling, crafting, and spending time with friends. She was also quite an animal lover!
Saundra passed on to her eternal reward on October 7, 2026. She leaves to cherish her memory four of her loving children: Jerry Doby of Overland Park, KS, Terri Williams of Northfield, OH, Lori Doby of Topeka, KS, and Leah Samlal (Sunil) of Lakeland, FL; siblings William Galloway (Ronda) and Willow Mallory of Topeka, KS; grandchildren Aaron (Melissa), Alexis, Morgan, Chris, Brian (Sierra), Jerome, Ashley, Amani, and Simone; many great-grandchildren, her loving church family, and a host of other relatives and friends.
