Seritha Arnaz Ballantyne was born on July 21, 1978 in Cleveland, Ohio to Bernice Ballantyne. As the eldest of 2 children, Seritha always took care of her younger brother, Jayson Ballantyne.
Seritha attended A.B. Hart Elementary School, graduate from East Technical High School in 1997 with her Diploma where she played Basketball, Volleyball; became a scholar at Ohio Work Education and at S.A.M. Child Advocacy Center; volunteered as a Conflict Resolution Mediator at the King Kennedy Boys and Girls Club. She attended Cuyahoga Community College for Court-Reporting and Medical Billing and Coding. For the last 8 years, Seritha was a Loss prevention Supervisor at Bulk Apothecary in Aurora. She had planned to become a Certified Notary Specialist and a Certified Home Inspector; but above else, she aspired to be a stay-at-home Nani.
Seritha enjoyed shopping, dancing, laughing, and loving on her family and friends. She was Super, always knew what to say and when to say it. Making others smile and bringing out their inner wild was her specialty. You could always find her in a silly mood ready to jam on anybody’s impromptu beat or to Future. If you knew her, you would also know she never kept a puzzle book too far away. Just as much as Seritha loved her daughters, Twanisha Taylor and Za’Kiyah Bowman, she adored her grandson, Tristan Robinson. Seritha made all things possible, it didn’t matter what the situation was. She stood against all odds and rose beautifully to leave positive impacts on everyone she came into contact with. Her laugh was contagious, her love was warm, her ears provided security, and her heart was pure gold. She gave grace even when it was not earned.
Seritha leaves to cherish precious memories with Daughters: Twanisha Taylor and Za’Kiyah Bowman; Grandson: Tristan Robinson; Mother: Bernice Ballantyne; Stepfather: Robert White; Brother: Jayson Ballantyne; Mother-figure: Catherine Taylor; Aunts: Bertha Shelton, Delores Currie, Yvonne Chambers, Cheryl Free; Uncles: Raymond Shelton, Charles Shelton, Calvin Shelton, Lamar “Uncle Duck” Ballantyne, Clifford “Uncle Pudding” Ballantyne, Haywood Chambers and a host of other family and friends.
