Serlema Mae Jones- Killens, age 81, went home to be with the Lord on
May 4, 2020. Serlema Mae Ann (Baker) Jones-Killens was born on April
2, 1939, in Rockdale, Georgia. And she grew up further living in Macon
and Conyers, Georgia. Upon finally arriving in Cleveland, Ohio, with her
mother, Cora (Baker) Smith, Serlema was educated in the Cleveland
School System attending Central High School. She then went further to
graduate from Cuyahoga Community College curriculum to become a
state-licensed registered nurse. From there Serlema was gainfully
employed with Visiting Nurse Association for many years helping
medically to improve communities. Of the same breath, she retired

her late husband, Stanley Killens, whom she was married to for 41
years. They united in holy matrimony in city of Niagara Falls, New York,
on March 17, 2000. And they both enjoyed an adventurous life
together travelling around the United States and abroad.
Serlema accepted Jesus the Christ into her life at an early age and was
baptized. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Serlema leaves to cherish her memories to her children; Cyr
Maharaj-halal-hajj-baz (Deborah) Jones, Satricia Jones, Adrienne (Leon)
