My God. My God. Myyyyyyy GOD!!!!!! I planned to have as normal a day as I could make but already my soul is inflamed. It has been one exhausting year. Everyday I have to coach myself into having a good day constantly fighting back the tears from this heartbreak. Nothing that anyone says is working and the saying "...it gets better with time" is a crock of s_ _t. Each day is harder than the last to live on without you.
The memories cause more pain than pleasure. I see you in me more now than I did when you were here. Your smart a$$ mouth, no nonsense disposition, tasteless sarcasm, and will to make sh _ _t happen and get whatever it is that your heart desires no matter the cost or consequence. They say you don't realize what you have until it's gone andddddd boy ain't that the truth!!!! I've faced more adversity since you parted this life than I have in all my adult years. My stubborn behind need you Dad...I really, really do! I didn't always value you when you were here and now I'm paying the price. I'm overwhelmed with regret and the pain runs deeeeeppp.
I got a promotion yesterday and I'm convinced it was heaven sent given the perfect timing. So I'll use the prospects of my next chapter to make the best of this day and those that follow. I Love You Daddy and miss you with every piece of my being!!!
