On July 8, 2025 Shenyce LaVon Finney “Niecey” transitioned from Earth to Glory. Shenyce LaVon Finney was born November 22, 1972 in Akron, Ohio to Shirley Ann Finney and Victor Allen Belcher.

Shenyce graduated from Buchtel High School in 1991 and attended the University of Akron. She worked hard all her life to be able to provide for her children and her loved ones. Shenyce loved jewelry, cars, wigs, shopping but most importantly her children. following her older brother Kevin she knew a thing or two about cars. She was our little mechanic. 

Shenyce was a member of Unity Holiness Ministries C.O.G.I.C but after she lost her pastor she came away from the church but never from the Lord!

In 2017 Shenyce had brain surgery and fought hard to return to her normal life. She loved the idea of making people look and feel good about themselves; so she started her business Niecey’s Affordable Hair and Accessories. Shenyce took pride in what she did! From sun up to sun down she was finding ways to perfect her business.

Her front porch was a Hub for love conversation and good sales..

Shenyce is proceeded in death by her father Victor Allen Belcher, grandmother Rosa Lee Finney, uncles Cleophus and Melvin Finney and brother Kevin Finney.

Shenyce is survived by he mother Shirley Ann Finney, brothers Vyrone Finney & Allen Jefferson; special brother Ladaren Gilkey, sister Crystal Jefferson, her children SeKoria Finney, JorDaun Finney, & Sydney Finney, grandchildren Ja’Vion Finney, Sa’Viona Finney, JorDaun Finney jr, Jordan Finney, Javeair Finney, Makenzie Finney, Jay’Den Finney, Maddisyn Logan-Finney & Daveon Logan, aunts Mary Finney, Pamela Finney, Joni Penn, Blanche Penn, Linda Brockman, Karen Mitchell (Wendell) , Uncle Stanley Penn and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends & family members.
