Sheriece Scott-Washington, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on April 9, 2026. She was born on July 22, 1964, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Gloria Landers and the late Millard Scott.
Sheriece dedicated over 30 years of service to the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD), where she made a lasting impact on the lives of students, families, and coworkers. She was also a proud and active member of SEIU 1199 and served as a union board delegate, where she advocated for and stood in support of her colleagues and community throughout her career.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother who found her greatest joy in her family. Sheriece enjoyed cooking and baking, watching her favorite TV shows, spending time with her grandchildren, and helping others in any way possible, never expecting anything in return. She was known for her strength, resilience, and the love she gave so freely. Her presence, wisdom, and care will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Dominque Ramon Scott and Shernae Gloria Harris; her beloved grandchildren, Domisha Gloria Scott-Braxton, Nayeli Kamani Sheriece James, and Jayia Starr Scott; her siblings, Sherdena Scott and Robert Landers; along with a host of relatives and dear friends.
Sheriece was preceded in death by her parents, Gloria Landers and Millard Scott.
Her legacy of love, dedication, and strength will continue to live on through her family and all those whose lives she touched.
