Jackie, Rhonda, Walter and Stephen: My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families during this time of mourning. Ever since I met your mother decades ago, I’ve known her to be a model Christian. From my chats with her, I sensed her love and motherly concern for you. She was proud of your accomplishments.
In the midst of all you may be feeling at this time, please take some comfort in our belief that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord! As Christ told the thief on the cross as death was very imminent for them both, “this day you will be with me in paradise”, may I offer that reminder to you also concerning your mother. I hope you all have subscribed (or will subscribe during this time of reflection), to the same faith that kept your mother victorious these many years.
