Stephen Moore, born on December 12, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio, passed away leaving behind a rich legacy of love and cherished memories. Stephen was a graduate of Thomas Edison and dedicated his career to working for the city of Cleveland. On January 2, 2002, he became a Master Mason at Nehemiah Lodge #27 and a Rising Heights Scottish Mason, exemplifying his commitment to brotherhood and community.
In April 2000, Stephen met the love of his life, Linda Jackson, affectionately known as “His Shorty.” Their bond was unbreakable, and they shared countless joyful moments together, from family gatherings to travel adventures.
Stephen was a devoted family man, finding immense joy in the company of his children: Stephen Canty, Barbara Moore, Stephanie Walker, Tomika Medley (Tramane Medley), and Christopher Burns-Moore (Tosha Stephens). He also embraced his stepchildren: Stanley Jackson, Inger Smalley, Antonio Smalley, Mario Jones, and Carl Freeman, treating them with the same love and care.
His grandchildren, Jamye Moore, Dexter Moore, Blake Wheeler, Aerian Brannon, Juvante Walker, Damika Donald, Damila Medley, Ayanna Walker-Medley, Khalia Walker-Medley, and Davion Stephens, along with a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, held a special place in his heart. Stephen also leaves behind his sister Yvonne Hood, brothers Jamie Moore and Gerald Moore (Brenda Moore), and his goddaughter Aniyah Hopson.
Preceded in death by his parents, Audrey B. Moore and William Moore, his sister Audrey R. Young-Williams (Sista girl), brothers Joey Moore, William Moore Jr., and Robert Moore Sr., and his grandchildren Candase Moore (Candy) and Khalil Walker, Stephen’s memory will be forever cherished by his family and friends.
Stephen was known for his vibrant spirit, contagious laughter, and warm smile. He loved spending time with his family, singing, cooking, traveling, and enjoying casino trips. His spaghetti and hot tamales were legendary among those who knew him. Stephen’s presence brought joy to everyone around him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
