Steve B. Jenkins, age 90, passed away February 20th, 2023.
Steve B. Jenkins was born August 25, 1932, in Greensboro, Alabama to the late Richmond Jenkins (Sarah Jenkins) and Bessie Jenkins.
He accepted Christ at an early age in Greensboro, at the Rising Star Baptist Church. After moving to Cleveland, Ohio he later became a member of Starlight Baptist Church, where he served as the President of the Male Chorus.
In 1953 he married Malinda and they later relocated to Cleveland, Ohio. In 1955 Steve became employed by GQ Drywall Construction Company and retired in 1987
Steve was dedicated to his family and loved to help others. He enjoyed bowling, working out in the yard and had a love for Cadillac’s.
He is preceded in death by his wife Malinda Jenkins and 11 siblings.
Steve leaves to cherish his memory to his daughter Shirley Finch and son William (Connie) Chavers; sister-in-law Ernestine Jenkins; grandchildren, Malinda (Charles Jr.) Spooney, Stephanie Gamble, Steven Gamble, Briana Chavers and BJ Chavers; great-grandchildren, Charles (Ke’ell) Spooney, Ke’Shawn Spooney and Mitchell Spooney; godson Carl Malone; caregiver Lashawn Smith and Jessica Hilton
