On November 7, 2021, Stuart answered the call of God without hesitation to come home. Growing up Stuart was a member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. He was a member of the Youth Choir. He loved singing in the choir. Two of his favorite songs were Oh Happy Day and Amen.
Stuart gave His Life to Christ at an early age. Stuart Harris was one of four children born March 26, 1959, to the late Bishop Harris, Jr. and Louise (Sherman) Harris
Stuart was a graduate of Kenston High School in Chagrin Fall, Ohio, where he played basketball, football and participated in track and field activities. He received numerous awards and set several school records. He also played the saxophone and participated in Concert and Marching Band. After graduation in 1977, Stuart had a congressional nomination approval to United States Military Academy at West Point to play football. He turned down West Point and accepted a four-year athletic scholarship to play football at the University of Michigan. He played defensive back (Wolfman) position and his teammates called him “Choir Boy.” He Graduated in 1982 from University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. After graduation he settled in Aurora, IL WITH Sandy (Giloth) Harris and they had three children. While in Aurora, IL he was a Deacon and active member of Moody Church in Chicago, IL and later became an Elder at Blueberry Creek Community Church in Aurora, IL. He volunteered in children’s ministry at both locations. After holding many careers, he returned to Ohio where his love and knowledge of football would eventually lead him to coaching at his High school Alma Mater, Kenston High School. While living in Ohio he attended Parkside Church.
Stuarts Favorite past times was being there for his children, golfing, coaching, and volunteering as the defensive back Football Coach at his High School. Stuart like to barbeque. Stuart would always go out of this way to help others.
Stuart was proceeded in death by his father Bishop Harris, Jr., and his Son Sean Luke Harris. Leaving to cherish his precious memories s his mother Louise Harris (Chagrin Falls, OH), two children Aurora Carlina Harris, Sara Grace Harris (Aurora IL ), two Sisters Patricia Harris (Willoughby, OH), Cynthia F. Brown (Melvin II) (Manassas, VA), one brother Kenneth Harris (Linda) (Lyndhurst, OH), two sister-in-laws Barbara Giloth, (Washington, DC), Copper Giloth (Amhert, MA), one brother-in-law, Robert (Kari) Giloth (Washington, DC), three aunts R Lee Brooks, (Clinton Twp. Michigan), Gloria Harris( Mansfield, OH), Cecilia Martin (Alfonzia) , (Naperville, IL) , four uncles, Paul Buckner Jr. ( Garfield Hts, OH), Willie “Man” Harris (Chicago, IL) , Oliver Harris (Kelly), (Mansfield OH) , William Brooks, Sr. (Mansfield OH), four nieces Cristal M. Rettger (Paul) (Monessen PA), Takeima J. Brown (Richmond, VA), McKenna Wells (Lyndhurst, OH) and Elizabeth Hillbruner (Mexico City, New Mexico), five nephews Melvin Brown III (Sherita) (Charlotte, NC), Justin M. Brown, Joshua M. Brown (Manassas, VA) and Michael Nickolas (Danielle) (Las Vegas, NV) and Christopher (Meagan) Hillbruner ( Washington, DC), and host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
