Sweetie B. Sims-Marsh passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018.
Sweetie B. Sims-Marsh was born September 29, 1947 to Bradley and Juanita Wright and Sweetie was the second of thirteen children. Sweetie was the oldest girl and took care of her siblings while our mother worked. Sweetie’s name speaks for itself. She was a kind, sweet person always listening, advising, and willing to help any and every one in whatever way possible.
She attended Akron Public Schools furthering her education at Hammel Business College and University of Akron.
Sweetie attended Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall.
Sweetie started her employment at Phoenix Youth Program of Akron (assisting problemed youth) then to ASCAA filling in where needed in multiple programs. She worked for Ohio Bell now AT&T and AVAYA in Atlanta for over twenty plus years. She worked in various positions as a Customer Service Rep., Corporate Accounting Service Rep, President of Pioneers and a Union Stewart. During her employment, she commuted to various states; she was promoted and transferred to Houston, TX, California, Phoenix, AZ and finally relocated and remained in Atlanta, GA.
Sweetie met and married Arcee B. Marsh, Sr. in 1964. From this union five children were born.
Sweetie’s hobbies included her love for playing cards, tennis, dancing, cooking, playing board games, a lover of jazz and was always a good listener along with helping people.
She is preceded in death by parents, Bradley and Juanita Wright, husband Arcee B. Marsh,Sr.; daughter Marie A. Jones; sisters, CoraLee Randolph, Linda Wright; brothers James Sims and Richard Wright.
Left to cherish her memory Christina (Timmy) Lathon, Camesa Marsh, Arcee , Jr. (Kavata) Marsh, Eric Marsh, Richard Slagle; 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; sisters Patricia Jones, Margaret (James) Casper, Beverly Dickerson and Sandra Dickerson; brothers, Lee (Zenobia) Wright, Raymond Dickerson and Paul Dickerson; nieces, nephews, cousins and special nephew Charles T. Moorer, Jr. and a host of family, co-workers, friends and special friends Teya Phillips and Juliet.
