Symeon Sylvester Williams Sr., affectionately known as “Pee Wee” was born on March 1, 1986, in Cleveland Ohio to Joyce and Sylvester Williams III. Symeon was a devoted father, cherished son and beloved brother. He dedicated his life to Jehovah God and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He found joy in telling others about his faith.

Symeon attended school in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, and he was a 2004 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. He furthered his education at Cuyahoga Community College. Symeon was committed to serving others. He served in various capacities as a longtime employee of the City of Cleveland, including as a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). His bravery, compassion and unwavering commitment to public service earned him the admiration and gratitude of countless residents. He also held a Class A Commercial Driver’s License; and was a proud small business owner. Symeon loved motorcycles, traveling, sports and luxury vehicles.

Symeon’s greatest satisfaction and joy came from being a father. From his union with Bianca, they welcomed Symeon Jr. Later, he welcomed his second son, Syme (Ciara). After the passing of his brother, Sylvester IV (Jr.), he embraced the role of father to his niece, Alexis. He was also a father figure to his nephews, Sylvonte and Sylvon, who both preceded him in death.

Symeon passed away unexpectedly on May 16, 2025, while pursuing his lifelong goal of becoming a firefighter. His memory will be cherished by: his two sons, Symeon Jr. and Syme; his devoted parents, Joyce and Sylvester Williams III; his five older sisters, Monica Maddox (Lewis), Tonya McCall (Melvyn), Terri Simpson (John Fedikovich), Sylvetta Williams, Marlena Boyce (Lawrence); aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of loving and devoted friends.

Symeon’s love for family and friends was evident in every relationship he nurtured and the lives he touched with his generous heart. His absence leaves a hole in the hearts of his family, friends and coworkers. He will truly be missed.

I met PeeWee when his 6yrs old snagatooth smile flying down the driveway with 1 training wheel on his BMX. E.121 str. was like an extended family. My condolences and divine healing to the Williams family and friends. Pee was loved by all. RiH
