“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid”.
John 14:27
Tara Shirronda Menefield was called home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2026. She was born on September 17, 1974, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Barbara and William Menefield. Tara was their only child together, and the three of them formed a loving, close‑knit family who supported one another throughout life.
Tara graduated from Villa Angela–St. Joseph High School in 1993 and went on to earn an associate’s degree in business administration from the University of Akron, where she was a member of the University Gospel Choir. She later built a meaningful career at the Cleveland Clinic, where she served as a coordinator for the Lung Cancer Program in Pulmonary Medicine. Tara was deeply respected and cherished by her colleagues for her dedication, kindness, and professionalism.
From an early age, Tara accepted the Lord as her personal Savior. Her faith was at the center of her life, and she expressed it daily. She trusted in God’s presence with her always, especially throughout her illness.
One of Tara’s greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren, Zion and Ali, who lovingly knew her as “Grandma with the glasses.” She was also the quintessential daddy’s girl—her father adored her, and Tara remained the light of his life. Tara was a devoted caregiver to her mother, Barbara; and a loyal friend to all who knew her.
Tara was preceded in death by her father, William Menefield, and her sister, Kimberly Menefield. She leaves to cherish her memory; her devoted mother, Barbara Menefield; her children, DeAryus Menefield and Daylon Menefield; her brother, Tracy Menefield; her beloved grandchildren, Zion Menefield and Ali Menefield; a beautiful niece, and a host of cousins, other family members, and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
