Taylor H. Martin Jr. was born on January 12, 1937 to the union of Taylor H. Martin Sr. and Ernestine Martin in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the fourth of four children and a product of the Cleveland Public School System graduating in January 1955 from East Tech where he studied electronics and played trumpet in the high school band.
Taylor married his high school sweetheart and absolute love of his life Catherine Smith on February 23, 1957 and their union was blessed with four children. Taylor was employed for over 30 years with CEI which he retired from and started working at Ganley BMW. He prided himself on working hard to become the number one top salesman.
Taylor was also an architect in his own right, building two gorgeous homes from the
ground up. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling the world with his wife Catherine (loving known as “Shorty”), but their favorite place to kick back and relax was the Bahamas.
Catherine, one daughter Donna, one brother Alex, two sisters Elenna, Ernestine; and one nephew Darryl preceded him in death.
He departed this earth peacefully on January 18, 2022. He leaves to mourn his passing sons Frederick Isaac; Taylor H. Martin III; two daughters Ronda Tartt (Phillip); Vicki Allison (Oliver); grandchildren Alishia Richardson & Aaron Allison; niece Marilyn Bonner Cargile (Jerome); nephews Robert Bonner (Renee); Warren Bonner –deceased (Anne, his widow known as Penny); Gary Bonner – deceased (Robin, his widow); Laurence Bonner; and Dale Bonner (Tonya) and a host of grand nieces, nephews and friends.
