On April 3, 2026, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend made her earthly transition to be at home with the Lord.
Teresa Kay Watson Hill Bell was born on March 11, 1948, in Alliance, Ohio from the union of Walter O’Neill Watson Sr. and Mable B. Jackson Watson Ridgeway. Teresa Kay grew up in Alliance, Ohio, where she attended Franklin Elementary, Stanton Middle School and graduated Alliance High School.
Her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment were her 4 kids from her first marriage to Jonathan Hill Sr. After his passing, she lovingly raised her four children, and she remained deeply devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren throughout her life.
God later brought Teresa together with her beloved husband, Ronald Bell, whom she married on September 2, 2000. She adored Ronald and was deeply thankful for the love and care he showed her, especially when he became her primary caregiver after she fell ill.
Teresa dedicated many years of her career to Sugardale Foods, the City of Canton and Goodyear, just to name a few, where she was known for her strong work ethic and commitment. She was also a devoted member of St. Paul Missionary Church in Akron, Ohio, since November 1, 1996, where she was actively involved and known for her faith and service.
Some of her notable church contributions including creating the first church newsletter, The Worshipper; serving as Communications Director; heading the Discipleship Committee; serving as Chair of the Women’s Ministry; teaching in the Ministry/Academy of Christian Excellence (ACE); and serving on the Executive Board, Bereavement Ministry and the Strategic Planning Committee (SPC).
Teresa enjoyed traveling, baking, and gardening, and she found her greatest happiness in caring for and spending time with her family. She was also Past Grand Daughter Ruler of Gladys Merrill Temple #1409 in Alliance, Ohio.
Teresa is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Bell; her children, Sonja Babette Hill-Everett (Franklin), Jonathan Lawrence Hill Jr. (Marketha), Tracie Marie Hill-McConnell (Sam), and Claudine Denise Hill-Bryant; her grandchildren: Jzanon Hill Sr, Corvaun Everett, Jzaquiyyah Hill, Dasian Hill, Mekayla Bryant, Erin Ducksworth, Chyanne Hill and Travaughn McConnell; Her Step-grandchildren: Shetara Bryant-Moss (Andrew), Erika Solomon, Deglagus Solomon (Ariana) and Renee Solomon. Her great-grandchildren, JzaNyah Hill, Jzanon Hill Jr, Amayah King, Lee Madison III, Ayden Moss, MyShawn Madison, Alaysia Atkins, Jermani Hill, Emearis Ducksworth, LaiLani McConnell, Aria Watson, Zayden Bryant, Milani Bryant, Ayva Solomon, Nylah Price, Nymire Price and Jovaughn Brown, who lovingly called her “GeeGee”; Her siblings: Brenda Collins, Karen Rice, Walter O’Neill Watson Jr., (Leanne) & Herbert Watson Sr.; her best friend, Dessie Sanders-Robinson; and her dear friend Lanae Frazier; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Teresa was especially looking forward to becoming a great-great-grandmother to Amoura Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents Walter O’Neill Watson Sr. & Mable B. Jackson Watson Ridgeway; her grandparents, Raymond Jackson & Chrissie Ardella Freeman Baker (maternal) and Jessie Watson Parsons & Theodore Watson (paternal); her stepfather, Richard Ridgeway; her siblings, Eric Watson, Yolanda Watson Bell Wilson and Cynthia Watson Fletcher; Brother In Law, Michael Collins and her beloved grandson, Jovaughn Hill.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday April 18, 2026, at 12noon at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1350 Virginia Avenue, Akron, Ohio 44306.
