Terrance Lawrence Boyd, also known as Lawrence Terrance Boyd, was born on September 24, 1949 and departed this life on December 11, 2019.
Terrance was born to Ruth Banks-Boyd and Albert E. Boyd Sr. Terrance attended Cleveland Public Schools, then as a teen went to Orange Highschool where he played sports and graduated in 1969.
Terrence entered the United States Army on August 13, 1970 and received an Honorable Discharge on February 1, 1972. Terrance received The National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal with the Device 60 Ribbon.
Terrance worked at the Ford Motors plant for a short period of time, then applied at the Cuyahoga County Sherriff’s Department where he was a Deputy Sheriff for many years. After serving many years as a Deputy Sheriff, Terrance retired. Once retired, Terrance enjoyed traveling and meeting people. On his down time, he loved watching sports and relaxing at home.
Terrance leaves to cherish his memory his 10 children, Cynthia M. Boyd-Westbroks (Shannon), Heidi P. Boyd-McDaniel (Sylvester), Brandon Boyd (Chevonne), Isaiah Boyd, Cory Boyd, Rebekah A. Boyd-Walter, Daynase Frey, Terrance Lawrence Boyd Jr., Khrystina Boyd and Walter Jackson. Also cherishing his memory are his 18 grandkids and 3 great-grandkids along with his brothers Albert E. Boyd Jr. (who preceded him in death), Vernon J. Boyd, Dwight Boyd, David Lee and Tommy Lee, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
Larry’s presence will be missed and he will be kept in our prayers always.
