Theresa Denise Meadows, also known at Teri or Lady T, was born on October 30, 1960 to Sarah Ann Cooper and the late Johnny Lee Johnson. Teri was a very loving mother, caring and giving person. She attended Akron Public Schools and graduated from Hammell Business College. Teri worked at the Girls and Boys Club for many, many years. She worked until she had to retire due to health problems. Teri was also the secretary of the tenant council where she resided.
Teri was a very faithful church member; she loved to sing and direct the choir. She made sure her children attended church as well. Teri loved skating, puzzles and music; Patti Labelle “If Only You Knew”, Ledisi “Pieces of Me” were two of her favorite artists and their songs. Teri absolutely LOVED the old school group LTD and their songs “We Both Deserve Each Other’s Love” and “Concentrate On You”, she would play them all day, every day. In addition to raising her own children, she was an aunt as well as a mother to her nieces and nephews. She was a very dedicated, family orientated and loving friend. Teri loved to clean, and her home was always well-kept. Whenever there was a family function or gathering, you didn’t even have to ask Teri to help; she always helped and would be one of the last people there to clean and do whatever she could. Teri was very much loved and will be deeply missed.
