Thomas L. McCaster Sr. was born June 16th, 1955, in Niagara Falls, NY, to the late O.D. Williams and Pastor Ruth Williams. He was the sixth child of 13, including siblings Fred, Aubrey (Pamela), Maggie, Pearl, Lewis, John, Donald (Brenda), Jerry, Theresa (Willie), Otis, Annie, and Tonya.

Thomas attended Niagara Falls High School and then joined the US Army at age 17; he would serve 20 years in the armed forces before retiring as a Sergeant First Class. During his tenure in the Army, Thomas received numerous accolades, including the National Defense Ribbon 2nd award, the Good Conduct Medal 6th Award, the Army Service Award, and the Meritorious Award.

Being a pastor’s son, Thomas spent his youth in the church playing the guitar in the church band along with his brother, John on the organ. As a result, Thomas accepted Christ in his heart and was saved as a deacon at Greater Works Church of God In Christ in Cleveland, Ohio.

To know Thomas was to love him. He was a man of integrity with a heart of gold. He was also accommodating; whether you needed advice, money, or your car fixed, he was there to lend a helping hand. He was a disciplinarian who ruled with an iron fist and believed in punctuality. In his free time, he liked watching National Geographic, CNN news, Barbecuing, and guitar playing. He loved to spend time with his family, whether traveling to visit or at home.

To rejoice in his memory, he leaves behind his Anointed wife, Missionary Anna Marie McCaster, and his three sons, Tommie L. McCaster Jr., Tommie L. McCaster III, and Jerome McCaster Sr. (Claudia) —also six grandchildren. Brianni McCaster, Jerome McCaster Jr., Courtnie McCaster, Olivia McCaster, Elle McCaster, and Truth McCaster. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
