Tia Taneida Porterfield Brooks was born May 27, 1980, in Gary, Indiana to Carolyn West and Charlie Hudson. Tia graduated from Alliance High School in 1998. While in High school, she was actively involved in the Dowling Mentor Program and the Broadcasting Media program.
She attended the Kingdom Hall for several years with her Grandmother. However, in October of 2018, she joined The Church in Silver Lake and Flame of Love Ministries. Tia was proudly Baptized on 9/1/2019, by Pastor Brad Jagger. She was an active member of the Church and is dearly loved by all.
Tia loved spending time with her family, and friends. She had so many fond memories with her children, siblings, and close friends there that are too many to mention. Tia enjoyed going to the gun range, watching the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and going to the movies which gave her a lot of joy too. However, on any given day she loved family time playing cards and board games. Tia was a great listener and genuinely cared about her family and friends. She loved unconditionally and gave way more than she ever received. God let us have her just so we could experience true love.
Tia served in the Military and shortly after returning home from the military, she gave birth to the love of her life Elisha Brooks. Her love for Elisha was so strong she knew she wanted more children. Tia and Marlan Brooks were married in 2005, she later had Mariya and Marlan, Jr. Brooks. Tia was a proud mom and lived for her children. Tia graduated from Bryant and Stratton with an Associate degree in Criminal Justice and a Certificate from the Ohio Media school.
