Tiffiny Lynn Gaiter was the second child born of three on March 9, 1972, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Earl and Wileen Gaiter. She was educated in the Cleveland Municipal School District, graduating from John Marshall High School in June 1990.
Tiffiny accepted Christ as her Savior in the mid ’90s and was baptized at The House of the Lord. On April 29, 2019, Tiffiny began a fellowship with the members of Arlington Church of God, where she truly found a church home filled with Christian love.
As a young child, Tiffiny had many interests, including gymnastics and reading. She even wanted a pet monkey! She was an intelligent child, making the honor roll several times over. Her academia shined so bright that a teacher recommended that she attend Whitney Young Junior High School, a major work school. She was accepted and was very successful. She went on to attend John Marshall High School and things were very much the same. She was very successful there as well. She ran track, became a member of the Lawyerettes High Steppers, and graduated with honors in 1990.
Tiffiny attended The University of Akron, as a pre-med major with plans of becoming a pediatrician. Soon after, she realized that becoming an RN was where her heart was. In 1993, she gave birth to her eldest, Brieonna, and Sierra followed behind two years later. Both girls have made her very proud. While at The University of Akron, she pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She earned her pearls on October 30, 1994. She later transferred to Summa St. Thomas School of Nursing and was a part of the last graduating class in 1998. She absolutely loved being an RN and it showed in the way she cared for her patients.
Tiffiny was a huge Browns fan, she loved to cheer them on every fall. Reading was another pastime of hers, often reading a book in two days. She loved doing crossword puzzles, watching court shows, and spending time with family. Above all, she loved being a grandmother to Makenlee and Brayden. “Mimi” was her favorite title.
On January 15, 2023, Tiffiny was called home peacefully with her family at her side after a 19-month battle with pancreatic cancer. She is preceded in death by her father, Earl Gaiter.
Tiffiny leaves to mourn her loss, daughters, Brieonna and Sierra; and their father, Nick; grandchildren, Makenlee, and Brayden; mother, Wileen Gaiter; sister, Tracy Reid; brother, Earl Gaiter; nieces and nephew, Deja Burgess-Gaiter, Tahneja Gaiter, Rayna Reid; and nephew, Earl L. Gaiter. She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
